SUNDAY 19 AUGUST 2018
Bundah Blues Band, formed by a group of year 11 & 12 students at Narrabundah College will host Canberra Blues Society’s annual Youth Blues Jam on Sunday 19 August at 2pm. The host band will be following by some of the finest musicians in the region, with a closing set by a great young local band Muddy Wolfe at 5pm.
Invite your family & friends and join in for a fantastic afternoon of live music.
Bundah Blues Band is –
Drums Jacob – has been playing several instruments for a number of years now. He enjoys blues and rock n roll.
Keyboards David – has played classical piano for 10 years and has recently been inspired by the worlds of blues and jazz.
Trombone: Declan – has been playing trombone for seven years. He started improvising three years ago and hasn’t stopped since.
Vocals: Bailey – has played music from a very young age and took up singing at age eleven. She has recorded multiple songs as a singer/songwriter.
Guitar/vocals: Dimitri – has been playing guitar for three years. He enjoys all sorts of music, loving the sounds of blues and jazz. Playing music is his passion.
Bass: Gus – started playing drums in rock and jazz and is now trying his hand at playing blues on bass.
Vocals: Taylor – has been singing for about four years. She started by singing pop. She got into blues and jazz at age 14 and the love for all things similar arose from there.
Guitar: Jesse – has played guitar for four years. He likes music that has a lot of guitar in it like rock, blues and metal.
Muddy Wolfe is a blues/rock band based in Canberra, Australia. Evolving from a blues rock band covering tunes by Jimi Hendrix and other blues artists to carving out their own unique sound blending rock, blues, jazz and folk and gospel. The band released their debut single The Sun Also Rises in September 2017 and their rockier tune H.P. Fuzz has just been released.
Featuring 3 vocalists who share the vocal duties and whose voices blend to provide beautiful harmonies Muddy Wolfe is band set apart from others in the region.

DREAMBOOGIE – named with a hat-tip to vintage American jazz/ blues writer Langston Hughes’ famed poem ‘Dream Boogie’.

Dreamboogie is an exciting 4 Piece band who re-interpret the songs of those great, trail blazing Blues performers for today’s audience, using contemporary sounds and fresh arrangements whilst retaining the essential spirit and attitude of the music – ‘Old Blues New Grooves’. They are determined to create their own voice in Blues music, brings together musicians Rebecca Davey, Sam Buckley, Connor O’Neill and Robert B. Dillon.
Dreamboogie have twice won the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society (MBAS) annual Blues Challenge, which has sent them to Memphis USA to represent Australia and compete at the International Blues Challenge – in both 2012 and 2016.
Come and experience a night to remember with Dreamboogie who deliver an entertaining, engaging, impassioned live performance with Bluesy style and flair.
